NAPO provides youth development services in Nigeria through mentoring, training and personal development programmes that help young people build confidence, develop practical skills and move closer to fulfilling their purpose.

Mentoring

At NAPO, we provide young people with spiritual and psychosocial support to help them overcome challenges such as poverty, unemployment, violence, and mental health issues. The programme could help them to develop resilience and build a positive sense of self. Our mentors have been carefully selected. These are men and women who are passionate about young people. They have navigated difficult times and have succeeded in their fields of endeavour. These selected mentors would be taking up the task of sharing their experiences and also provide support to our young people.

Training Programme

As part of our youth development services in Nigeria, Noah’s Ark of Purpose Organisation provides young people with leadership and entrepreneurship training to help them develop the skills they need to start their own businesses or take on leadership roles in their communities. Through our training programme we are helping the youths to become productive and responsible. Our training programmes include computer education, fashion design, catering, health education amongst others. Our partnership with other training and skills acquisition organisations has created an incredible opportunity to young people who would like to develop and gain proficiency in the areas of our focus.  Our training programme also extends to workshops as well.

Personal Development

At NAPO, we are committed to assist young people in areas of personal development in the following areas:

  • Understand their values, strengths, weaknesses, and emotions.
  • Fostering positive self-regard and confidence.
  • Develop effective communication skills for both verbal and nonverbal expression.
  • Setting SMART goals and developing strategies to achieve them.
  • Cultivate the ability to cope with challenges, setbacks, and disappointments.
  • Explore their career options and develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen field.
  • With the skills to manage their finances responsibly.
  • Promote healthy lifestyle choices and encouraging regular physical activity.
  • Provide comprehensive sexual health education to promote healthy sexual behavior and prevent unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.
